Breast cancer treatment drugs are manifold. As breast cancer is a fatal disease therefore the treatment drugs used to control it are heavy and have their side effects too. Some of the major drugs used for treating breast cancer are given below:

- Famera:

Famera is used to treat and control breast cancer of patients with postmenopausal estrogen receptor positive breast cancer. Famera is a chemotherapy drug and the generic name for it is letrzole.

Famera is an aromatase inhibitor. Famera does not let the enzyme aromatase to convert adrogens into estrogen and with the absence of estrogen the tumor cannot grow any further and eventually starts shrinking.

- Zoladex:

Zoladex is also a chemotherapy drug which is used to treat breast cancer and prostate cancer. Zoladex is also used in non cancerous endometrial conditions. The generic name for Zoladex is goserelin acetate.

As estrogen plays a vital role in the development of breast cancer therefore Zoladex makes the breast cancer cell starve for them.

- Taxol
Taxol is one of the most commonly used drugs for the treatment of breast cancer. The generic name for Taxol is Paclitaxel. Taxol is also used for the treatment of various other cancers such as lung cancer, bladder cancer and the like.

- Tamoxifen:
Tamoxifen functions in the same way like Famera and Zoladex. It restricts estrogen from reaching the cancer cells.
